General Medicine

Introduction

Department of general medicine was started in the year 2004 and provides care for more than 20,000 patients annually in both inpatients and outpatients. The Department of General Medicine is one of the largest departments of SMIMS. Our physicians are committed to applying the latest medical knowledge and technology to meet the needs of the patients.

The department also conducts community camps where screening for various medical problems like Diabetes, Hypertension, Bronchial Asthma etc., are conducted. The team consists of Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Senior Residents and Junior Residents.

Physicians from the General Medicine department also play an important role in the teaching III year Dental Students of Sree Mookambika Institute of Dental Sciences.
