24 bedded Casualty was transformed into 30 bedded Department of Emergency Medicine on July 15th 2021 with all latest sophisticated equipments and aids to tackle all kinds of Trauma, Surgical and Medical Emergencies 24×7. It caters for both Adult, Geriatric and Pediatric patients.

Emergency Medicine is equipped with 24 Triage beds (Red Zone: 4 Beds, Yellow Zone:15 Beds and Green Zone : 5 Beds) and 6 Bedded Emergency ICU. EMD is also equipped with Emergency Modular OT with round the clock experienced Surgeons , Exclusive X-ray (Static & Bedside), Bedside Ultrasound and Echocardiogram. Supportive facilities like CT, MRI, laboratory services are also available.

The acuity of your ailment is rightly prioritized based on a 3 level triage assessment and hence the Golden hour is never missed. 

The department provides resuscitation, stabilization, pain management and transfer of critically ill patients. The department provides disaster care to the community in the event of a Major Incident. Understanding that in an emergency, time is of essence, our emergency department remains committed to the rapid assessment and management of such patients. The department’s quest to excel and its focus on quality care is supported by its daily debriefing and discussions that review the approach and priorities in day-to-day situations. 

Our 24-hour emergency care area is staffed by trained emergency physicians and other health care professionals,  trained paramedics and non-medical personnel who work round-the-clock to handle critical care patients at any time. 

The trauma team comprising a general surgeon, an orthopaedician, an anaesthesiologist and a radiologist is available 24×7.
